Mental Health First Aid Training
Mental Health First Aid teaches everyday people how to recognize signs of mental health concerns, respond with compassion, and connect someone to the right support — just like CPR does for physical emergencies. First Aiders don't diagnose or provide therapy; they learn how to offer initial support and guide someone toward professional help.
This 8-hour, women-only training includes approximately 2 hours of required self-paced pre-work followed by an instructor-led session. After the live training, participants complete required post-work and an evaluation to receive their official, nationally recognized 3-year MHFA certification.
You'll walk away with:
The 5-step action plan and practical skills to support someone in a mental health crisis
Tools to overcome the fear of "saying the wrong thing" and help break the stigma
An official, national Mental Health First Aid certification
Taught by Haneen Jubran, a Certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, alongside co-instructor Mona Fetterolf, also a Certified MHFA Instructor. Haneen is passionate about bringing Islamic knowledge and mental health awareness together to better serve Muslim women and families, and is pursuing a degree in Islamic Studies alongside her mental health work.
Let's make mental health first aid as common as CPR!
