About Event

Lactation & Newborn Feeding: Support, Tips, and Guidance for Nursing Parents

Are you preparing to feed your newborn and want practical guidance on breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, and newborn nutrition? Whether you’re a first-time parent, adoptive parent, or caregiver, our Lactation & Newborn Feeding class will give you the knowledge, confidence, and support to nourish your baby successfully.

This class is hosted by Boboto Care & The Nanny Grove.

What You’ll Learn

  • Breastfeeding basics, including latch, positioning, and common challenges

  • Bottle-feeding guidance for expressed milk or formula

  • Recognizing hunger cues and understanding your baby’s feeding needs

  • Tips for building feeding routines and maintaining milk supply

  • Support for parents’ rest, recovery, and wellbeing during feeding

Meet Your Teacher — Mila Mendez, Belly to Belly Infant Feeding

Mila Mendez provides inclusive, compassionate infant feeding support through Belly to Belly Infant Feeding.

Mila is a parent and a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist who has completed the Advanced Lactation Program with Dr. Paola Vallarino. She is also a Lactation Intern at Mamas Au Lait and is currently working toward becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

With more than twelve years of experience in education and a Master’s Degree in Gender, Feminist and Women’s Studies, Mila brings a thoughtful, caring and non-judgemental approach to infant feeding support.

Her goal is to help families feel informed, respected and confident in the feeding choices that work best for them and their babies.

Boboto Care

Boboto Care is a Toronto and GTA perinatal care collective supporting families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum recovery and early parenthood.

Our multidisciplinary team provides personalized care designed to help parents feel informed, supported and well-rested during one of life’s biggest transitions.

Our services include birth doula support, postpartum doula care, overnight newborn care and night nurses, lactation support, childbirth and newborn education, infant sleep support, belly binding and perinatal wellness services.

Through our classes, community events and one-on-one care, we aim to make high-quality pregnancy and postpartum support easier for Toronto families to access.

The Nanny Grove

The Nanny Grove helps Toronto and GTA families find trusted, experienced childcare professionals for every season of family life.

Our services include professional nanny placements, newborn care specialists, night nannies, temporary childcare, event childcare and customized family support.

We believe finding someone to care for your child should feel personal, reassuring and thoughtful. Our goal is to connect families with caregivers who fit not only their practical needs, but their family’s values and routines.
