About Event

Are you craving deeper, more meaningful connections? A broadening of your friend network? Tools for cultivating better friends? A better understanding of friendship? You're not alone. Study after study shows that the single most important factor for a healthier and happier life is good relationships. Yet the US is suffering through a loneliness epidemic with troubling impacts on individuals and society alike.

In this workshop, we will learn research-based approaches to making and strengthening friendships. The session will include evidence-based findings, techniques, discussions, and exercises in a supportive environment."

Tony Shen has helped hundreds of people around the SF Bay Area cultivate stronger friendships through his acclaimed Friendship Lab and coaching. When he's not running workshops at UC Berkeley, Stanford Continuing Studies, and other institutions, he's teaching improv and performing in comedy shows including The Sitcom and Fresh Baked Comedy.

Tony had a long career as a C-suite executive and consultant to Fortune 500 firms before discovering his passion for helping people build happier, more friend-filled lives. He graduated with honors from Stanford University with a BA in Economics and an MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.
