Secure Code with AI: A Live Workshop with Claude Code and Codex
Abstract
AI coding assistants are writing more of our code every day. But are they writing it securely?
In this demo-driven session, Jim Manico walks through setting up a secure Claude Code environment from scratch: permis sioncontrols, CLAUDE.md security rules, hooks, and sandboxing that keep your AI assistant operating within safe boundaries.
He'll introduce the Manicode Secure Coding Prompts and show how loading them into your AI workflow produces secure-by-default output. The session closes with a live side-by-side demo using Claude Code and Codex together for code generation, security review, and testing workflows that catch vulnerabilities before they ship, followed by open Q&A. Attendees will leave with practical setup guidance and prompt workflows they can apply to their own codebase immediately.
