Building my own work system for my lifetime job
From Dream Job to Lifetime Job
✨ Is there a mentor whose way of living and working makes you want to become a little more like them?
Meet Olive, our beloved “Cheerleader-in-Chief,” whose marketing career began in 1998 and has taken her through Yahoo, Microsoft, and Meta, where she led marketing across Northeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
What interests us, however, is not simply the names on her résumé.
It is how she became someone people genuinely want to work with. How she has continued to return her experience and opportunities to other people. And how, over decades, she has kept growing at her own rhythm and pace.
Beyond the title of “marketer,” Olive has collected many names along the way: Cheerleader, Ritual Maker, Time Master, Daily Archivist, Tool Artist, Warm Observer, Brand Explorer, Culture Builder.
Each name emerged from something she cared about, practiced, and eventually made part of her work and life.
In this Floating Cloister session, we’ll use Olive’s journey as a starting point to ask:
🌱 What potential in me has not yet been named?
⏳ Where do I want to spend my limited time and energy?
🧭 What kind of work could I sustain for a lifetime?
✨ And what names do I want to grow into next?
For freelancers, solopreneurs, and anyone navigating a career transition, this is not a session about copying someone else’s success formula. It is about developing your own criteria for choosing what comes next.
A good mentor does not hand us a map. Sometimes, they simply become a North Star—showing us that another way of working and living is possible.
🎁 Surprise for live participants:
We’ll create and share a special Working Recipe e-book featuring Olive’s working practices and tools.
