A New Way Forward — R³ Group Bodywork Series: Part Three
What happens in your body when it’s time to speak, be seen, connect, or take up more space?
You may notice your shoulders tightening, your chest closing, your jaw clenching, or tension building through your neck and head.
These responses can show up in moments of pressure, difficult conversations, visibility, decision-making, or simply when you’re trying to hold everything together while still showing up for what matters.
Part Three of A New Way Forward works with the shoulders, chest, neck, jaw, and head — areas involved in expression, communication, connection, and how we meet and respond to what is happening around us.
What We’ll Explore
Through guided R³ Group Bodywork, we’ll use self-bodywork, movement, awareness, and reflection to work with these connected areas and notice the patterns that show up through them.
Alongside the physical work, we’ll explore themes such as:
expression and communication
being seen and taking up space
holding back or over-controlling
carrying responsibility through the upper body
connection and responsiveness
allowing more choice in how you show up
These are not fixed meanings assigned to the body. They are reference points for noticing how physical patterns may relate to the way we communicate, relate, and respond in everyday situations.
What to Expect
This is a two-hour experiential group bodywork session combining practical bodywork with education and guided exploration.
You’ll be supported to work at your own pace, notice what is relevant for you, and learn tools you can continue using outside of the session.
Most of the work is guided and done on your own body. Hands-on support may also be offered and is always optional.
You’ll remain fully clothed throughout the session.
No previous bodywork experience is required.
Wear comfortable clothing you can move in and bring a pillow for additional support.
