About Event

Join us for an inspiring evening exploring the history of the animal rights movement and the remarkable progress of the grassroots anti-fur community — progress that has brought the fur industry to the brink of collapse.

Moderated by long-time activist Claudio Pomo, who helped shut down Green Hill, Italy's largest dog-breeding facility for animal testing, this panel brings together dedicated activists to trace the journey from the roots of anti-fur campaigning to the present day.

Panelists:

Coalition to Abolish the Fur Trade (CAFT) is the most successful anti-fur group in history, having pressured 23 companies to divest from fur — including major names like Etsy, Vogue, New York Fashion Week, and dozens of luxury designers. Suzie, Executive Director, and Lauren, Lead Campaigner, will discuss how the grassroots movement builds power, and why ending fur is a stepping stone on the path to animal liberation.

Abolish Fur Worldwide (AFW) is a grassroots organizing umbrella representing dozens of local groups across Europe that take on anti-fur campaigns. Mattia and Pablo, both lead organizers with AFW, will speak to the importance of decentralized, autonomous groups and building people power across the continent to take down an industry.

Together, they'll share how the movement has evolved, the campaigns that shaped it, and the collective power that has driven real change. We'll also look at the work happening right now — from legislative victories to shifting public attitudes — to finally bring the fur industry to an end.

Whether you're a long-time activist or just beginning to explore animal rights, this is a space to learn, connect, and be part of the conversation. Come with your questions — and bring a friend.

There will be a group dinner afterwards!
