Shaped by Cities, Driven by Ambition
Please note that this event will be held in Korean to discuss synergies of cities across 🇰🇷 and 🌎

Paul Graham’s Cities and Ambition shaped how I define the places I call home. In it he writes, “every city has a message.” Silicon Valley says “be powerful.” New York says “be rich.” Cambridge whispers “be smart.” LA insists “be famous.”
These messages don’t just describe places - they attract people who are drawn by shared ambitions. And when you’re surrounded by people who care about the same things you do, your own ambitions start to feel more possible. That’s the feeling I wake up to every day here.
Hoping others can wake up to this same feeling, we’re hosting a gathering for Koreans shaped by cities around the world. When the messages of cities like Seoul and Busan intersect with the ambitions of Silicon Valley, New York, Cambridge, and LA, they spark a powerful synergy.
Hyung Won, Kyel, Gia, Martin, and I will share our journey across these cities. But more importantly, we want to hear from you: Which cities shaped you and your ambitions?
To create meaningful conversations, we will prioritize RSVPs to bring together a good balance of those visiting temporarily, newcomers starting fresh chapters in the Bay, and those who've already been part of the community here.
