Field Notes 05: Rhythm Atlas

​Field Notes 05 is our fifth installment of a vinyl listening series led by industry selectors and their approach to record curation.

​Our selector for this fifth session is Arjun Shah in collaboration with Groove Obscura — an experiential platform dedicated to uncovering and contextualizing music from around the world through communal listening. Guided by historical and musical context, Arjun invites listeners to slow down, engage deeply with each record, and experience music as a shared ritual. Expect a rhythmic journey spanning continents, weaving together the rolling drums of Uruguayan candombe to the hypnotic sway of Réunion's maloya, each offering its own distinct sense of movement, place, and history.

​Tickets are limited as the program will be intimate. Car Part Time members will receive a code for complimentary tickets.

​Doors close promptly at 7:00 PM and the listening session will begin immediately. Out of respect for the experience and fellow guests, we ask that conversation be kept to a minimum during the listening portion of the program.

​Following the session, the space will open up for conversation and connection as guests are invited to explore a selection of themed cars, spend time throughout the showroom and garage, and enjoy the atmosphere while the selector continues spinning into the evening.
