This edition explores the theme: Mobilizing Local Capital: How Early-Stage Investors Are Closing Africa's Funding Gap. Expect a candid fireside conversation with experienced investors, peer learning, and plenty of time to reconnect with AAA alumni from Ghana and the wider investor ecosystem.

This evening is designed to create intentional connections between the angel investing community and the wider investor ecosystem, drive honest conversations about mobilizing sustainable capital for Africa, and explore how early-stage investors are reshaping the funding landscape across the continent. About AAA
Africa Angel Academy is an African-led initiative that trains and supports angel investors and early-stage investors to actualize their investment objectives through training, coaching, networking and showcasing of investment opportunities.
In partnership with leading early-stage investors across the continent, the Academy has developed a self-paced online course and resources that guide investors as they embark on their investment journeys. Since its inception, the Academy has trained over 800 investors across 33+ African countries, mentored 26 angel groups, curated and catalyzed 217 deals, and supported alumni who have collectively deployed $7.2m+ into African startups.
With 55% women participation, the Academy is building an active, inclusive and coordinated angel investor layer across the continent and diaspora. Our mission is to grow the number of active angel investors focused on the continent and catalyze local early-stage investing and startup ecosystems.
