About Event

This session explores how peer lesson observations can serve as a meaningful tool for professional development. A central focus is the step-by-step process of peer observation: preparing through a preliminary discussion, conducting a focused and purposeful lesson visit, and engaging in constructive feedback. Participants examine how to define the purpose of an observation, identify specific areas of focus, and collect objective evidence during a lesson. The session also emphasizes strategies for giving and receiving feedback in ways that are specific, reflective, and non-judgmental.

Who this is for:

·      Teachers and tutors

·      Instructional coaches and methodologists

·      Academic coordinators

·      Program leaders

Potential questions to explore:

·      How can peer observations move beyond evaluation and become a tool for growth?

·      What structures help ensure feedback is constructive rather than personal?

·      How can teachers create a culture of trust and reflection within their institutions?
