Advance Your Biotech With NCI SBIR Funding and Resources
Are you aware of the federal funding program that supports the commercialization efforts of biotech innovators? The Small Business Research (SBIR) program at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) provides up to $6.4 million in funding to life science startups (per project) with no strings attached.
As part of NCI’s engine of innovation for advancing novel cancer-related technologies from lab to market, the SBIR Development Center funds a diverse portfolio of small businesses that are developing technologies to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer.

In addition to the topics outlined above, The Developmental Therapeutics Program (DTP) at NCI provides grants, services, and resources to the extramural community to facilitate the discovery and development of new cancer therapeutic agents. This presentation will highlight resources available to the cancer research community through DTP including: the NCI-60 Human tumor cell line screen and COMPARE analysis tool; repositories for chemicals, natural products, biological reagents and patient-derived models; and the product development consultation service and Stepping Stones Program.
After the presentation, attendees will have a chance to schedule one-on-one virtual meetings with NCI SBIR Program Director Sarra Djemil to discuss their cancer technology project and funding eligibility.
