International Generalist Day - NYC Central Park

International Generalist Day 2026 🌍

Imagine you could meet new friends who understood your squiggly background? Well, now you can!

Join Carol Astle, Taylor Zansberg, and Haleigh Ly in NYC for International Generalist Day — a global celebration happening simultaneously across cities worldwide on September 16th, 2026.

We are hosting a picnic style gathering at Sheep's Meadow in Central Park. Here you'll meet like minded generalists to swap stories, share skills and ideas, and be in a community.

What is a generalist?

Professionals who apply their skills across multiple domains, connect disparate ideas, or serve as "translators" between different teams and disciplines. If you've ever felt your career doesn't fit in a single box, this celebration is for you.

What to expect:

• Connect with fellow generalists in your city

• Celebrate the power of diverse skillsets and squiggly careers

• Be part of a global movement happening the same day worldwide

• OPTIONAL: Please bring something to sit on and a treat/snack/food to share

This meetup is run by Carol Astle, Haleigh Ly & Taylor Zansberg organised by Generalist World - the community where generalists belong. You'll find everything you need to grow in your career - support, opportunity, lots of learning and great new connections.

Please note, you do not need to be a member of GW to join a meetup, everyone is welcome
