Reading Room at Book People

​Reading Room is a monthly gathering for readers who want to actually read — together, and out loud about it after.

​Bring whatever you're currently reading (or something you've been meaning to start). We'll settle in, get quiet, and read side by side. Between reading blocks there's time to mingle, browse the shelves, and talk books with whoever's nearby and the energy tends to get lively once people start sharing what they're into.

​We close every session with a short open mic: sign up at the door to read a favourite passage aloud, share a quick rec, or tell us a little about what you've been loving lately.

​The format: 45 min read → 15 min mingle → 20 min read → 15 min mingle → 15 min open mic
