Mentorship Mixers: From Idea to Game Night
[Due to popular demand, we've opened up to 30 participant slots! First come, first served.]
🎲 Ever played a board game and thought, “I could make this”?
Then you start brainstorming and realise… wait, where do I even begin?
Come hang out at our next Mentorship Mixer: From Idea to Game Night, where we meet Suren and Jannis, creators of BURNOUT, and go behind the scenes of what it really takes to turn an idea into a playable board game. They have successfully fundraised S$119,000 on Kickstarter to build their game!
Whether you're a board game enthusiast, an aspiring game creator, or simply curious about unconventional careers, this is your chance to discover where a quirky idea can take you.
We’ll chat about:
🎲 Turning an idea into an actual board game
🛠️ Prototyping, playtesting & bringing a game to life
💡 The challenges of creating something from scratch
🚀 What life as a board game creator really looks like
💬 Open AMA — ask anything
This isn't a panel or formal networking event. It's a casual, small-group conversation where you can meet the people behind the game, ask the questions you've always wondered about, and connect with other curious minds.
✨ Limited to 20 participants to keep the event exciting!

Suren & Jannis — Board Game Creators
They took their mental burn out and struggles and turned it into playable game, BURNOUT, navigating everything from creating the concept and refining the gameplay to bringing the finished game into the hands of players.
Ask them:
How do you know if your game idea is actually good?
Where do you even start when creating your first board game?
What really happens between the first prototype and launch?
Can creating board games become a real career?
How do you build something that stands out from everything else?
