About Event

What is this workshop about?

Inevitable workplace disagreement can lead to rupture that distracts us from our shared purpose. What if we reframed disagreement from a blocking force into something that actually enriches our work?

When approached generatively, disagreement has the capacity to produce something new that was not there before –It is a way of engaging differences that expand our ability to work more creatively and reconnect to our shared commitments. To do meaningful work together, teams need the skills to navigate disagreement productively. This workshop introduces practical tools that help transform moments of tension into opportunities for Innovation and stronger collaboration.

You will leave this workshop with:

  • Theoretical underpinnings for generative disagreement

  • A disagreement mapping tool to better understand the dynamics of a disagreement

  • Mindful questioning skills

  • Skills in seeking clarity from the other party

  • Understanding of creating a strong container in which your disagreement can take place

  • Chance to learn from peers and apply skills to your own context

Co-developed and co-facilitated by Alanna Faust.
