Symposium Around Network States - Group Dynamics & Social Networks
Inspired by the Venetian tradition of convivial diplomacy, the Symposium around Network States gathers sovereign minds around a shared table, where philosophy, governance and gastronomy merge into one act of freedom.
Description:
Each dinner is part of an ongoing cultural format exploring the ideas, aesthetics, and self-awareness of the emerging Network State movement.
Echoing Plato’s Symposium, these gatherings transform dining into dialogue, a ritual of food, thought, and shared sovereignty.
The table becomes an agora, where questions provoke reflection, paradoxes arise, and conversation unfolds with curiosity and gentle irony. Laughter, wine, contradictions — and perhaps revelation.
Each edition features a curated Italian menu (4-course) and regional wine pairing, guiding guests through a sensory journey. Italian cuisine, rooted in simplicity, ritual, and shared pleasure, becomes a metaphor for networked life: decentralized, yet united by flavor.
🍷 The Format
- Seats: limited to 9 participants, first come, first served.
- Where: selected Italian restaurant or private apartment.
- Package: includes round-trip transfer from NS hotel, multi-course dinner, and wine pairing.
- Etiquette: No-Phone Zone. Presence is the only protocol.
(The use of a phone during the dinner might preclude your future attendance.)
- Ritual: each guest brings a question rather than an opinion.
- Flow: from antipasto to dessert, conversation evolves naturally, guided, never imposed.
The Symposium is not an event, but a method of cultural inquiry, where conviviality becomes philosophy in action, and cuisine becomes a moment of freedom disguised as dinner.
🕯️ Note
Proceeds from these dinners support the ongoing development of the
“Sovereign Stack for Network States” thesis, a research project on ecosystem design, culture, and coordination in post-sovereign societies.
