Session 2 · The Forgotten Sense: Recovery, Wellbeing & Taking Back Control

Smell loss affects millions of people and yet it remains one of the most overlooked conditions in healthcare. It changes far more than people realize, from taste and appetite to memory, emotion, comfort, and connection to everyday life.

After our first session, one thing became very clear: so many people are navigating this journey feeling isolated, dismissed, or simply exhausted from searching for answers.

But recovery and improvement are possible. And taking an active role in your sensory health can make a real difference.

In this 60-minute live session, we’ll explore:

• What current research says about smell recovery and neuroplasticity
• Practical tools you can begin using immediately — scent training, sensory rituals, and daily sensory practices
• How to advocate for yourself when smell loss is minimized or misunderstood
• Live Q&A with a guest speaker (TBA)
• Open community discussion

Hosted by Elisabeth Schaduw, founder of Sensory Recovery, who lost her own sense of smell while working as a scent artist and perfume designer and began rebuilding her sensory world through neuroscience-backed olfactory training.

Whether you’re newly diagnosed, years into your journey, or supporting someone you love, this session is for you.
