Stay in the Loop: Shaping CODEbase Together
Why attend the CODEbase workshop?
CODEbase is a student-built prototype that aims to make it easier to find relevant projects and collaborators at CODE. This 60-minute open workshop is where students help decide what the next version should look like.
What this means for you You will get a clear picture of what CODEbase is, what it is not, and how it could fit alongside Slack and existing campus channels. You will also see the current prototype and can say what works, what is confusing, and what is missing.
Why join Your experience matters. If you have ever missed a project update, struggled to tell whether a project is active, or wondered whether a team's time commitment fits your schedule, this workshop is your chance to influence the tool before it is built further.
What you can bring
Your experience with finding projects, teammates, or campus opportunities
Examples of what you wish you had known before joining or contacting a project
Ideas for keeping project information current, such as updates, status, and deadlines
Concerns about notifications, privacy, or contacting people you do not know
Suggestions for how CODEbase could help projects stay better organised, tracked, and managed
No preparation or technical background is needed. You will leave with a better understanding of how student projects could be discovered, documented, and kept up to date.
