AHEC Health Career Exploration Activity

​Details and Responsibilities: In November the University of New England’s Maine AHEC Network, along with Maine Access Immigrant Network and New Mainers Public Health Initiative will be hosting a health career exploration activity for high school students who identify as being from refugee and immigrant communities.

​During this learning session, students will be moving through stations that will introduce them to a variety of health careers that relate to a surgical case study. There will be hands-on activities for each station that the Martin’s Point team can help lead.

​You don’t need to have experience with surgical cases in order to participate – a detailed set of instructions will be provided in advance to lead the students through the hands-on activities.
