Art and Wellness Night: Resonance in Light (Cohorts 1, 2 and 3)
Hi friends! You're invited to Immerse yourself in a serene oasis with a unique fusion of sound bath and immersive art. This evening will be a retreat, designed to transport you into a realm of deep relaxation and rejuvenation. ✨
Set within the mesmerizing backdrop of the Resonance in Light art show, we will begin the evening with a light cocktail hour with drinks and snacks, followed by 30 minutes in which you will experience the enchanting sounds of the Gamelatron and sound-reactive immersive light sculptures that are designed to bring your parasympathetic nervous system into balance. 🧘🏼♀️
This fusion of art and sound creates a unique sensory environment in which to cultivate the mind in deep presence, peace and connection. After this experience you'll be guided into your cohorts in which we will invite you to engage in meaningful conversation around not only this experience but how you incorporate art and creativity into your day to day life. 🎨
Preparing for our conversations:
Spend 15 mins prior to our gathering meditating on the following. Think of this as a marinade ahead of our conversations. 💭
Explore the connection between mindfulness and art. How can art be a tool for relaxation and self-discovery for you?
Which artists or artworks have had a significant influence on your life?
Rules for the evening:
You can't pour yourself a drink - you can only pour drinks for someone else! 🥂
Everyone must arrive on time and stay for the duration of the event. Doors close at 7pm to begin the experience! 🕖
Things to keep in mind:
This event is open to all cohorts, including those that usually meet on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Your $20 registration fee will cover non-alcoholic beverages and a donation towards the Heron Arts Center. Eat dinner before!
The first 45 minutes of the event will be an individual experience where each person will take in the exhibit in silence. We will then facilitate small group conversations over drinks about our experience with the exhibit!
