Energy Independence in the Age of AI
AI, energy independence, and the tools reshaping how we plan and power our world. A panel discussion at LCAW 2026. London, 24 June.
Energy Independence in the Age of AI
A panel discussion hosted during London Climate Action Week 2026
AI is reshaping the energy system - not as a future prospect, but right now. It is being used to forecast renewable output, balance grids, model energy scenarios, and support the planning decisions that will define how quickly and equitably the transition happens.
But are we using it well enough? And who gets to shape how these tools are built and deployed?
This evening brings together leaders from organisations actively building and applying AI to energy planning and grid operations, for a focused conversation on where the technology is making a difference, where the gaps remain, and what it would take to embed AI more effectively across policy, planning, and investment.

Dan Travers, CEO, Open Climate Fix
Andy Hackett, Head of Policy, Centre for Net Zero
