[NOW VIRTUAL] World AIDS Day: Centering Black & Marginalized Voices in the Fight to End HIV/AIDS
After decades of hard-fought progress, the fight to end HIV in America stands on fragile ground.
What once felt like unstoppable momentum, a future within reach, is now at risk of being undone. Proposed federal cuts threaten to dismantle the very programs that have saved lives and sustained hope for countless people living with and impacted by HIV.
These cuts don’t just endanger funding; they endanger futures. They threaten access to care, prevention, housing, research, and the safety nets that protect our most vulnerable. And they come at a moment when Black and LGBTQ+ communities—those most impacted by HIV—are already facing relentless political and cultural attacks.
But we have been here before. We won’t be silent. And we will not back down without a fight.
Join us on Wednesday, December 3rd for a landmark WORLD AIDS DAY VIRTUAL CONVERSATION centering our voices, our stories, and our shared vision for a just and healthy future. Together, we’ll affirm that our liberation, our health, and our humanity are not negotiable.
Our confirmed speakers include:
Mandisa Moore-O’Neal, Executive Director, Center for HIV Law & Policy
Carl Baloney, Jr., President & CEO, AIDS United
Tori Cooper, Director of Strategic Outreach and Training, at Human Rights Campaign; and Member of The Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS (PACHA)
