About Event

For the first time in Indonesia, we are proud to offer a workshop based on the work of The iGold Center, a leading institution in Gestalt organizational practice — brought to Indonesia in collaboration with Product Narrative.

Overview

This workshop builds on seminal research and theories of groups, organisations and social change of Gestalt social psychologist Kurt Lewin, principles and strategies of working with individuals and small social systems from Gestalt therapist Fritz Perls and his colleagues, and perspectives of Edwin Nevis and other founders of the Cleveland approach to Gestalt practice in organisations.

Course Content

  • Understanding the global and organizational context in which we are currently operating

  • Four streams of theory and practice: Gestalt; Organizational Development; Leadership; Diversity, Inclusion, Social Justice

  • Foundational theories: Experiential Learning Theory, Systems Theory, Paradoxical Theory of Change and the Gestalt stance of working with Resistance

  • Use of self and personal presence

  • Four roles of the Gestalt intervener

  • Intervening at multiple levels of system: individual; interpersonal; group; large complex systems

  • Understanding the Gestalt stance on working with groups and teams

Course Format

The course will consist of brief lectures, experiential exercises, skill practice, case study and analysis, journaling, reading and application.

Delegates will work in multiple configurations: individually, pairs, groups, total community and plenary.

Speakers/Facilitator

Mary Ann Rainey, Ph.D.

Mary Ann has cultivated a global client base leveraging holistic perspectives to improve organizational and leadership effectiveness. Her leadership experience includes Vice City Manager and corporate Vice President. She co-chairs the international Gestalt Organization & Leadership Development (iGOLD) Program and served as Dean of the NTL Institute’s Global Organization Development (OD) program in Oxford, England and teaches in NTL OD programs worldwide. Other teaching includes Yale University School of Management and Loyola University, Chicago. Her books: Gestalt Practice with Brenda B. Jones (2019) and Leadership in the Age of Not Knowing with Jonno Hanafin (2023).

Sheena Cartwright

Sheena is an organisation development consultant who supports leaders and organisations through transformational change. She has 30 -years’ experience of working in and with large global organisations. In her corporate career, she held senior Organisation Development, Talent and HR Leadership roles within Coca-Cola Enterprises, Vodafone and Alexander Mann Solutions.

For the last 11 years, Sheena has run her own OD consultancy. She has completed major change, organisation development and engagement projects for global organisations.

She holds the NTL Certificate in Organisation Development and is a 2018 graduate of the iGOLD programme and is trained in Clear Leadership and Appreciative Inquiry. She lives in Hampshire UK with her husband and 2 teenage children.

Benjamin Goh

Benjamin Goh is first an avid learner, looking for balance in his life while being in service to others.

In the human system space, Ben started in ontological coaching 11 years ago with international clients including C suite executives, business owners, lawyers, doctors and Hollywood celebrities. Ben is currently certified at the ICF PCC level, certified as a health and team coach, trained in facilitation for teams and systems, completed the iGOLD Gestalt OD programme and currently finishing up International Family and Systemic Constellation Facilitator training certification.

Ben is the founding director and lead coach/trainer of Futureproof Leadership with clients from Business School in the UK, Oil and Gas company in the Middle East to academic and healthcare organizations around the world including the European Union.

In his spare time, Ben is a Board Certified Urologist and Kidney Transplant Surgeon in Singapore with a successful practice and multiple leadership roles in the hospital and medical school in the University. His special interests include robotic surgery for kidney tumours, kidney reconstruction and kidney transplantation.

Mulyadi Oey

Mulyadi Oey, Director of Product Narrative, is a consultant and coach with a background in science and technology. His passion for leadership capacity development has led him to serve as an international coach and consultant in Asia and United States. He has completed projects for Bank Jago, Gojek, Blibli, Sampoerna, and Sinarmas Land, among others, in Indonesia. Additionally, he has served as an executive coach for corporate leaders in India, Japan, Thailand, and the Philippines.

Mulyadi’s diverse experience covers his role as a mental health counselor with Modern Health, USA; previous posts as a product and tech lead in Silicon Valley and Indonesia; and, ongoing entrepreneurship (his US-based company was acquired).

As a faculty member of Gestalt Organization and Systems Development, he is introducing System Work to Indonesia.

Investment

To make this program more accessible for the participants from the host country, we arrange the following:

  • 🌎 International participants: SGD2,900

For participants from Indonesia:

  • Company-sponsored payment: PPh 23 (withholding tax) will be added on top of the fees above, in accordance with Indonesian tax regulations.
