About Event

This virtual networking session is designed for members of She’s New to America Pro who want to understand U.S. networking expectations and practice presenting themselves with clarity and confidence, while building real, meaningful connections inside the community.

Why Networking Matters in the U.S.

In the U.S., most career opportunities come through referrals and warm introductions, not cold applications. Career growth depends not only on skills, but also on visibility, relationships, and being top of mind. Networking is not asking for a job, it’s about building trust, exchanging value, and staying connected over time. Small, consistent interactions often lead to long-term opportunities such as informational interviews, referrals, and collaborations.

What You’ll Gain

  • A structured, supportive environment to meet other professional immigrant women

  • Practice delivering a clear, U.S.-style professional introduction (30–60 seconds)

  • Exposure to multiple groups through guided breakout room rotations

  • A simple framework for following up and continuing conversations after the event

Participant Preparation (Required)

Please come prepared with a 30–60 second introduction that includes:

  • Your name

  • Your current role or professional background

  • Your target role or industry in the U.S.

  • One key skill or area of expertise

  • The type of connections or support you are seeking

Prepared participants get significantly more value from the session.
