Survival 102: Water Purification

​​Taught by Marshall and Samyuktha in partnership with Chicago United Solidarity Project (CUSP) and the Hinterlands, come meet some new people while learning how to purify water and find drinkable water in the field and in emergencies.

​Water is life, which is why it's important we know how to find and create drinkable water in a variety of situations. Sometimes, this drinking water comes neatly packaged in a water bottle at a store, but other times, we have to know a bit more about the land to find out what it provides.

​​In this indoor and outdoor workshop, learn how to find drinkable water, filter water in the field, and tap trees for drinking water. We’ll go over makeshift water filtration systems and ones you buy to keep in an emergency kit. Take home water purification tablets for your go-bags!
