​Friends and Luvahs is a late-February lounge at Nighthawk.

​Valentine’s Day may be over, but the feeling is not. This night is about love in all its forms, romantic, platonic, chosen, fleeting, unrequited, and communal. Come as you are. Come with someone. Come solo. Make a friend. Leave with a lover. Or just leave warm.

​The bar will be open all night (until 2:00 am), with a live DJ set at 9:00 pm, and from 7-11:00 pm, a photo studio pop-up, tarot readings, and a raffle you will want to enter! Nothing forced. Just good music and even better vibes.

​This night supports the production of You Smoke?, a Chicago-shot short film filming in March. The film is about intimacy, timing, and the moments that almost happen. It is being made without a studio, without a big backer, and without a rich person behind the scenes. Just a group of artists, friends, and collaborators making something together from a place of care.

​Throughout the space, you will see simple ways to donate if you feel moved to. Contributions go directly toward feeding the cast and crew, covering transportation, and keeping folks caffeinated and warm on set. Any surplus is shared back with the people who make the film.
