​The one you've been waiting for all year — a summer hike that ends in the water. The Embalse de San Juan is one of the most beautiful swimming spots reachable from Madrid by public transport, and the only reservoir in the Community of Madrid where swimming is officially allowed, with over 14 km of beaches along its shores. We'll hike the trail first, then cool off with a proper swim. The perfect Sunday in June. 🌿

​Distance: 1-2hr walk, the main focus is on swimming and enjoying the water :)

​Getting there: Bus 551 from Madrid Cuatro Vientos to Av Marcial Llorente-Pantano de San Juan. The bus departs at 9:30am, please be at the station at 9am and check screens for the platform.

​Logistics: Group size: Capped at 15, please sign up.

​Meeting option 1: At Madrid Cuatro Vientos.

​Meeting option 2: At the Av Marcial Llorente-Pantano de San Juan once the 9:30am bus arrives

​Return: Aiming to take the return 551 bus around 16:30–17:00.

​What to bring: Comfortable trainers or hiking shoes. Swimwear and a towel — this is non-negotiable, we're swimming! Packed picnic lunch, snacks and at least 1.5L of water. Sunscreen (lots of it). A dry change of clothes for the bus home. 🧺

​Cost: Free. You only pay for your bus ticket. Pay the driver on the bus, bring coins/cash as a backup! 🪙
