About Event

If you're developing a medical device, digital health product, or SaMD, you'll already know that regulation, clinical safety and cybersecurity are all part of the journey.

What can be much harder to work out is where to start, how the pieces fit together, what they are likely to cost, and which decisions made today could save you significant time, effort and expense later on.

That's exactly what this event is designed to help with.

Cyber Alchemy, Mantra Systems and Assuric each support innovators at different stages of the route to market. For this event, we're bringing those perspectives together to give you a clearer picture of what the journey looks like as a whole.

We'll be spending the day at the National Health Innovation Campus, a unique environment where NHS diagnostics, clinical training and health technology businesses come together under one roof. Alongside practical guidance, you'll have the opportunity to ask questions, meet fellow innovators and explore the facilities helping to shape the future of healthcare.

What You'll Learn

Three expert perspectives on getting to market

Hear from:

  • Assuric on clinical safety and navigating the UK regulatory landscape

  • Mantra Systems on accessing European markets

  • Cyber Alchemy on the cybersecurity requirements that underpin both routes, including how evidence and expectations differ depending on your target market

Panel discussion and open Q&A
When you register we will ask what you would most like the panel to tackle. We build the session around those answers, so it is worth telling us the thing you are actually stuck on. The panel so far:

  • Professor Liz Towns-Andrews, 3M Professor of Innovation, University of Huddersfield

  • Professor Richard Hill, Head of Computer Science, University of Huddersfield

  • Sandra Gopinath, Chief Regulatory Officer, Mantra Systems

  • Dr Sean Clarkson, Head of Strategic Operations, Health Innovation Yorkshire & Humber

  • Martin Stanley, Head of Regulatory, Paxman

  • Paul Jewell, Co-founder and CEO, Assuric

Guided tour of the National Health Innovation Campus

See the facilities first-hand, including the model hospital environment and health technology incubation spaces.

Focused afternoon sessions

Spend time diving deeper into key topics with specialists from Mantra Systems and Assuric.

Hosted networking lunch

Join informal table discussions hosted by all three organisations, centred around the questions founders and innovators ask most often.

Who Should Attend?

This event is for clinicians, founders and health innovators who are turning promising ideas into real-world products.

Whether you're working with a prototype, running a pilot, or already have a product in use, you'll gain practical insights into what comes next.

Wherever you're planning to go, whether that's the NHS, Europe, the US, or you're still weighing up your options, the day will help you better understand the path ahead.
