​This session is about learning how to ask, even when it feels uncomfortable. It is for anyone who has wanted to speak up for a new opportunity, clearer feedback, or more responsibility and hesitated. Many of us assume that good work will speak for itself. In practice, leaders are juggling a lot, and silence is often read as satisfaction.

​In this session, Julian will share personal stories and introduce a simple way to think about “the ask” as a tool for taking more ownership over your career growth.

​When you do not ask, you stay in assumption. When you do, you gain clarity.

​Over lunch, you will connect with others navigating similar career moments and leave with more confidence around the ask you have been sitting with.

​Meet Julian

​I’m a husband to my sparring partner, a dad to two beautiful humans, a brother to my badass big little sis and a son to two hard-working immigrant parents.

​As a ‘sales leader rockin’ a marketer’s hat’, I aim to gain a buyer’s perspective before presenting opportunities. My career can be summed up as growing the world’s most recognizable brands, from the agency and platform side, via the evolving digital landscape.

​My all time favorite sports teams are a reflection of teams I thrive on. The 2015 Warriors, the 2015 USWNT and Lebron’s HS team all had world-class talent that was often misunderstood and sometimes underrated, but they played together with an unmatched underdog spirit.

​I’m unapologetically myself and focus a lot on personal development for the good of me, my family and my broader team. Whether it’s trying a new fashion piece or asking a difficult question, my motto is that “you can’t pull it off unless you put it on.”
