​The Finnland-Institut and the Fulbright Community in Germany warmly invite you to an evening with Dr. Laura Hirvi, Fulbright Finland alumna and Public Policy Manager at Meta.

​Laura’s career has taken her from academia and a Fulbright scholarship at UC Santa Barbara to leading the Finnland-Institut in Germany and the Virtual Reality Association Berlin Brandenburg—and, since 2022, to the tech industry at Meta.

​In conversation, we will explore Laura’s personal and professional journey: How did Fulbright shape her path? What does it mean to move from academia and the non-profit sector into industry? And how can experiences across different countries, sectors, and communities shape a career?
