🎤 Invited Speaker(s):
Sr.Marilú Ibarra, FdCC
is a Catholic religious sister belonging to the Canossian Daughters of Charity (Canossian Sisters)
In her professional daily ministry at the St. Anthony Foundation, she functions primarily as a Spiritual Caregiver, Program Advocate, and Community Leader. She supports individuals navigating addiction recovery, acts as an advocate for domestic violence survivors, and coordinates outreach for the Archdiocese of San Francisco's Restorative Justice Ministry.
Her talk will be followed by a moderated panel discussion with opportunity for audience questions.
Fr. Tom Martin (Chaplain)
is Pastor of the Noe Valley Cluster, serving the parishes of St. Paul, St. James, and St. Philip the Apostle in San Francisco, and serves as Chaplain for Catholic Leaders in Action. Ordained to the priesthood in 2013, he has dedicated his ministry to forming faithful disciples through pastoral leadership, faithful preaching, and a deep commitment to evangelization. In addition to leading three vibrant parish communities, Fr. Tom also serves as Catholic Chaplain for the San Francisco Giants and Magistral Chaplain for the Order of Malta. Through his leadership and service, he continues to encourage Catholics to embrace their vocation with courage, conviction, and a spirit of joyful mission.
Bridget Mahoney (Panel Moderator)
Bridget Mahoney is the Director of Development for Catholic Charities San Francisco. Bridget has had a lifelong passion for public service and philanthropy.
Bridget has held many leadership roles, but her favorite has been with the Order of Malta San Francisco Auxiliary. Now a provisional member of the Order of Malta Western Association, Bridget lives out her faith by serving the sick and the poor in supporting all works of the Order, including attending annual pilgrimages to Lourdes.
Bridget is a parishioner at St. Dominic’s in San Francisco and also regularly attends Mass at Holy Rosary Chapel in San Rafael, and now at St. Paul’s in Noe Valley. Being Catholic is one of the greatest blessings in her life and prays that more and more young people embrace Catholicism and come back to the church.
Bridget lives in Cow Hollow, San Francisco and loves spending time with friends and family, especially in Lake Tahoe.
💬 Panel Discussion
Lorna Baggott
Development and Communications Manager for The Order of Malta Clinic of Northern California (https://www.orderofmaltaclinic.com/).
Since September 2024, she helps manage and support their mission to provide free medical care to uninsured individuals. Her role connects her professional nonprofit clinic management with the younger generation of regional Catholic leaders through volunteerism and faith-driven networking. She also contributes articles to the Catholic Voice and works closely with regional initiatives, including the Diocese of Oakland, Catholic Charities San Francisco and Catholic Charities East Bay, St. Vincent de Paul Alameda County and is active as an Auxiliary member of the Order of Malta. She currently is a Provisional member of the Order of Malta and will be invested as a Dame of Malta in October.
She is a parishioner at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church in San Francisco and a frequent world traveler to Marian pilgrimage sites.
Miguel Ramirez Lacayo
Case Manager and Housing Specialist for Catholic Charities San Francisco.
He utilizes his background in philosophy and law to protect the legal and structural housing rights of marginalized communities across the San Francisco region. He is dedicated to advocating for those that need assistance and a voice for the most marginalized and vulnerable including, pregnant women and their pre-born children.
He is an active parishioner of St. Mary Star of the Sea in San Francisco and traveled extensively for mission work around the world post graduation from San Francisco State University.
