​A Syrian Take on Venezuelan Cuisine

​An evening of food, community, and solidarity at Fang.

​For this special community dinner, we welcome Third Table for a one-night-only Venezuelan fundraiser celebrating the flavours, memories, and cultures that shape who we are.

​This dinner is a personal journey through the cuisines of Venezuela and Syria, bringing together the flavours Layane grew up with in Venezuela and the Syrian heritage that is part of her story.

​Expect a Syrian-inspired interpretation of Venezuelan dishes, combining familiar Venezuelan comfort food with the spices, techniques, and traditions of Syrian cuisine.

​This gathering is more than a meal. It is an opportunity to come together around the table, celebrate culture, and support an important cause.

​All extra funds from the evening will go towards supporting Venezuela.

​Zaatar Arepitas con nata (V / VG) Herby zaatar arepitas (vg) served with Venezuelan nata for dipping (v)

​Cumin caraotas (VG) A staple of Venezuela’s national dish: Pabellón Criollo. Black bean stew flavoured with warm Syrian spices. Served with white rice.

​Sumac platanos maduros Ripe plantain seasoned with zesty sumac VG

​Chicken shawarma pastelitos Empanadas stuffed with 24h marinated chicken and arabic pickles. Two popular street foods come together.

​Salsa criolla (VG) Seasonal tomatoes, garlic and zingy pickled red onions

​Guasacaca (VG) Venezuela’s iconic vibrant, creamy, and herby green sauce

​Cardamom & passion fruit cake (V) Passion fruit cake with a warm hint of cardamom. The tropics meet the Middle East.
