Downtown Diaspora: An after-hours gathering for Black Professionals

​Every day, Black professionals move through downtown Montreal. Working in the same buildings, grabbing coffee from the same cafés, walking the same streets.

​Yet most of us never meet.

​Downtown Diaspora exists to change that.

​Downtown Diaspora is an after-hours experience that brings together Black professionals, entrepreneurs, creatives, and builders from across Montreal to turn proximity into community, and rediscover downtown through one another.

​This July, we're gathering in the heart of Old Montreal at D'THRUTH Resto Lounge, a Black-owned restaurant and lounge whose elegant Afro-inspired atmosphere offers the perfect setting to unwind after work. Whether you're joining for a drink, a bite to eat, or simply great conversation, you'll experience one of Montreal's unique spaces while meeting people you may have been walking past for years.

​On the agenda: good people, thoughtful conversations, and another opportunity to make downtown feel a little smaller.

​You'll leave with new connections... and maybe even plans to meet again before our next edition (wink, wink).
