A morning dedicated to three traditional martial arts practices — moving from the controlled, meditative movements of Qi Gong, into the techniques of Aikido, and ending with an introduction to Kendo.
You’ll get to experience each discipline with instructors guiding you through its foundations, techniques, and philosophy. The sessions are beginner-friendly and designed to give you a proper introduction to each practice rather than throwing you straight into the deep end.
Expect a mix of breathwork, movement, partner exercises, martial arts techniques, and sword practice across the morning.
The Three Disciplines
Qi Gong
We’ll begin with a slower practice focused on breathing, posture, balance, and controlled movement.
Aikido
Then we move into Japanese martial arts, learning fundamental movements, defensive techniques, falls, and partner exercises.
Kendo
We’ll finish with an introduction to Japanese swordsmanship, covering basic stance, movement, etiquette, and striking techniques.
