Women’s Verbal Dojo Revamped
The Verbal Dojo
We’re back — new room, new season, same practice.
The dojo is a women’s-only space for the thing most of us were never trained in: what to do the moment you freeze. The question you didn’t ask. The correction you swallowed. The ask you softened into something more palatable before it left your mouth.
Kasia Urbaniak calls it the Freeze — attention snaps inward, a thousand thoughts, no words. The way out isn’t confidence, it’s practice. Attention out. A question instead of a defense. Turning the spotlight rather than standing in it.
So we drill. Warm-ups, partnered exercises, InterPlay — moving and speaking before your brain gets to edit. Some of it will feel ridiculous. That’s how you know it’s working. You are not here to perform being powerful. You’re here to build the reflex.
