Future of Higher Ed (Boston): Lunch Discussion with Kathleen deLaski
Join the Future of Higher Ed (FOHE) Boston community as we continue our lunchtime authors series with Kathleen deLaski, founder and board chair of the Education Design Lab and author of Who Needs College Anymore?
Drawing on decades of work across higher education, philanthropy, government, and industry, Kathleen will lead an interactive discussion on the evolving role of higher education and the growing demand for shorter, more targeted pathways that connect learning to opportunity. Through her work at the Education Design Lab, Kathleen partners with colleges, states, and employers to design new models of postsecondary education that better align with the needs of today’s learners and workforce.
In Who Needs College Anymore?, Kathleen explores the shifting expectations around the traditional degree and examines how institutions can rethink credentials, career pathways, and the structure of postsecondary learning. Together, we will unpack the book’s key ideas and discuss what they mean for institutional strategy, workforce alignment, and the future of higher education.
As always, this will be an intimate, off-the-record conversation with space for real dialogue among higher ed and edtech leaders, founders, and practitioners. Seating is limited and our past author lunches have sold out, so we encourage you to secure your spot early.
Thank you again to our partner at 196 Ventures, a global investment platform focused on accelerating the evolution of human potential through the use of technology, for hosting us in their space.
Lunch is included in the cost of admission. No awkward Venmo exchanges required.
