Crash Course: April 22
Join us to learn how to lead math circles, for people of any age! This course is a self-contained two-hour program, sharing the basics of how to lead math circles in the tradition of Bob and Ellen Kaplan, who founded our organization (the first math circle in the U.S.) in the ‘90s. We'll provide reading about math circles ahead of time, and then the session will have two parts:
First hour: demonstration circle, with the course participants as the students. This will give you the opportunity to experience this kind of discussion-based collaborative learning first hand.
Second hour: discussion of the reading, scenarios/examples, and the demonstration circle. This time is for deepening understanding and addressing your questions.
The program will be on Zoom, with a $50 recommended donation. We hope to connect with you at the crash course!
