Intersectional Sisterhood: The Women We Become
You can’t be what you can’t see. So come and meet the future you.
About the event
You can’t be what you can’t see. But what happens when you get the chance to actually meet her?
On Diversity Day, women from different organisations, backgrounds and walks of life came together in a campaign celebrating the power of intersectionality. Inspiring role models were put in the spotlight, showing that there is no single way to lead, succeed or make an impact.
Intersectional Sisterhood: The Women We Become takes that campaign from visibility to connection.
We open with an inspiring panel conversation. Then we move from listening to connecting: through a series of fast-paced speed dates, a new generation of young women meets role models from different industries, cultures, generations and lived experiences. Because role models become even more powerful when you can talk to them.
What choices shaped their journey? What do they know now that they wish they had known earlier? How did they navigate moments of doubt, ambition, identity or change? And what might a young woman recognise in their story that helps her imagine her own?
Are you at the start of your journey?
Come to build a network you may not have yet, ask the questions you don’t usually get to ask, and discover that there are many ways to become the woman you want to be. You might just meet someone who looks a little like your future self.
Are you a role model?
Turn visibility into impact. Share not only where you are today, but the lessons, detours and people that helped you get there. One honest conversation can open a door for someone else, and you will leave with fresh perspectives from the generation coming up behind you.
Why this event is unique
1. From inspiration to real connection
We don’t stop at the stage. After the panel, one-to-one speed dates let everyone continue the conversation, ask their own questions and build genuine connections.
2. Meet perspectives beyond your own circle
Our networks often form around familiar people, industries and experiences. This event intentionally brings together women from different backgrounds, organisations, identities and career paths, creating conversations that might otherwise never happen.
3. Find possibility in someone else’s story
There is no single path to success, and a role model doesn’t need to have the exact career or background you aspire to. A shared experience, an unexpected perspective or one honest piece of advice can be enough to show you what’s possible.
