​Toronto keeps telling itself it's world class. It should be asking why it keeps underperforming what it already has.

​A genuinely diverse, economically significant, physically interesting city that has spent thirty years auditioning for a status it could simply claim. The question is what changes when Toronto stops seeking permission and starts acting on what it actually has.

​A different format from the suppers and drinks. Three or four salonistes ... people with genuinely different vantage points on the city, who'll take a position, make an argument, and push back on each other ... and a deliberately mixed room that won't sit quietly. Part live podcast, part structured argument, part meetup that got slightly out of hand. We open with a provocation, the room talks back and we turn what's been said into something worth sharing after.

​Hosted by Iain Montgomery, founder of Challenger Cities.
