About the Class:
Knowledge is power, and as doulas, we know that birth is a mind game. Get your head in the game by deepening your understanding of the physiological process of labor + birth. When you're prepared with what you need to know, you can feel strong, empowered, and ready to tackle whatever this stage of parenthood throws your way.
They say it takes a village to raise a child, but so often as parents, we find ourselves feeling alone in the journey. Finding your people is important--we aren't meant to do this by ourselves! This is an incredible opportunity to start building community with other expecting parents. Find your village!
In this class, we'll go over getting your body ready for birth, training your brain for labor, managing discomfort with natural comfort measures + coping techniques, movement + positioning during labor and pushing, how your birth partner can be of the most help during each phase of labor, how to care for + comfort your newborn, and more. Have your partner be ready for some hands-on demos! ;)
You'll have the opportunity to pick our brains and ask us about anything: newborn routines, self-advocacy, even your chosen hospital's policies + procedures. You'll leave confident, empowered, + prepared to welcome your baby!
Cost of ticket is per couple. Lunch for two is included.

1 prenatal meeting, where we'll get to know you more + help you tailor your birth preferences;
1 personalized birth plan, so everyone on your birth team is on the same page about your desires;
1 in-home postpartum visit, where we'll pop by to check in on how life with baby is, troubleshoot any problem areas, and/or help you give baby's first bath;
A doula in your back pocket: 24/7 access to a doula throughout the remainder of pregnancy and throughout labor, to help you navigate anything unexpected you may come across during your journey.
