Community Builder Lab: Share Challenges, Spark Ideas, Build Together
Join the CMX NYC community for an interactive evening of shared learning, real-time problem-solving, and community-powered insight.
This is a space to bring what you’re working on, get thoughtful feedback, and support fellow community builders doing the same.
Each attendee will have the opportunity to share a challenge or pressure-test an idea while the group asks questions, offers perspectives, and helps move it forward.
How It Works
Each round is fast-paced, focused, and collaborative:
3 minutes: Present your challenge or idea
3 minutes: The group asks clarifying questions
3 minutes: The group shares suggestions, insights, and ideas
Then we repeat, creating space for multiple voices, perspectives, and breakthroughs throughout the evening.
What You Can Bring
A challenge you’re currently facing in your community
An idea, initiative, or event you want feedback on
No slides required, but optional if helpful. Come prepared to share, listen, and contribute.
What to Expect
6:00-6:15 PM: Arrive, connect, and meet fellow community builders. Lite refreshments will be served
6:15-7:45 PM: Community Builder Lab (presentation rounds)
7:45-8:00 PM: Closing reflections + open networking
This is a highly interactive, participation-driven experience. Whether you present or contribute from the audience, you’ll leave with new ideas, a fresh perspective, and stronger connections within the NYC community ecosystem.
