Demon or Deception? Islam in the Eschatology of the New Apostolic Reformation
Part of a series of seminars on Signs of the Times: Christians, Muslims and the Apocalypse

Abstract
The New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) — a Pentecostal-charismatic network now at the center of American politics — counts several key advisers to President Trump among its leaders. Known for its fierce Christian Zionism and close ties to the Netanyahu government, the NAR has an less-examined side: its theology of Islam. Where Jews and Israel are celebrated, Islam is cast as a demon or a supernatural deception enslaving its followers. How does the same eschatological framework produce such radically opposed views of two Abrahamic traditions, and what does that mean for U.S. foreign policy?
