Redwood Regional Park - AC Transit launch celebration
AC Transit is bringing back bus service to the East Bay Hills regional parks for the first time since 2020 with Line 31. Come celebrate with Hiking by Transit and the Transbay Coalition, plus special guest Lynda Deschambault, East Bay Regional Parks board director for Ward 2.
At Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park, take in the sights of the East Bay's finest redwoods park, pick up a hiking quick kit, and discover the park with three suggested hikes ranging from an easy walk to the stump of Old Survivor, a massive former redwood showcasing the massive size of the trees that built San Francsico, to a 6-mile hike down into the Redwood Creek canyon to explore the heart of the park; play a park treasure hunt for a cool prize; and hang out with people who think parks are part of what make life great!
Schedule
10:00am-1:00pm: tabling, goodie bag pickups, treasure hunt, etc
1:00pm-2:00pm: join Hiking by Transit for a 3-mile hike down through the thick of the redwood forest and across the Tres Sendas redwood bridge.
