Practical Philosophy Club: Food
On Thursday, July 2 the next meeting of the Practical Philosophy Club will again take place at the Kingdom (Biskupia St. 18/1). This time, we the topic is "Food". The meeting will start at 7:00 p.m., and the discussion will be held in English.
Admission is free, but donations to keep the enclave open are welcome.
1. Should governments regulate sugar, salt, and other relatively safe food additives, or should these choices be left entirely to personal responsibility?
2. What can be done to help people develop a healthier relationship with food on the individual, family, and societal levels?
3. Should obesity be treated as a medical condition in the same way as other physical or psychological disorders? If so, does the body positivity movement sometimes conflict with that approach?
4. Is there really such a thing as "good" and "bad" food, or is it more accurate to think in terms of "better" and "worse" dietary choices?
5. Is food marketing aimed at children unethical, and should it be banned or heavily restricted?

🗝️ The Kingdom Without Limit (KBK) is an open enclave at 18 Biskupia Street in Kraków, combining elements of a cultural centre, a café, a museum, a library, a university, a coworking space, your grandmother's house and a place you've probably always missed. The Gate is open Monday to Saturday from 4pm to 11pm.
