Developer Excellence & Burnout
Welcome back to Laravel Cape Town!
We'll be changing the format up a bit this year - stay tuned for more info!
For our first meetup, we'll be back at the Ringier South Africa offices. There will be some parking available within the building, but please let us know or change your RSVP if you cannot attend.
Developer Excellence, with Josh Harington
Josh is the CTO at Tradebot, a bit of a petrolhead and biker, and luckily a known papercut survivor! He's been working with Laravel since 2014 across various industries like edutech, fintech, trading bots, insurance platforms and more.
He'll be speaking of lessons learned over a 15+ year career on how to identify burnout, when you need downtime, and how to deal with it - even while under pressure and tight deadlines.
We'll touch on how to craft an environment that helps you prevent burnout, and how to keep going if you are burnt out and under a ton of pressure. Especially when feeling unheard, taken advantage of, underpaid, or even just lost and looking what to do to find a new purpose as a developer.
