Show and Tell in the Park
It's a show and tell, plus a giveaway!
Like second grade, except nobody makes you stand up in front of the class. Bring something you love, that you want other people to admire. A ceramic you made, a rock that might be a meteorite, your grandfather's harmonica, the world's third-best belt buckle. Or bring nothing and come check out other people's treasures!
Where to find us
The Panhandle, east end, at the McKinley Monument. That's the 35-foot statue where Baker meets Oak and Fell, you cannot miss it. If you somehow do, look for the table with the big F.
The shape of the afternoon
10:00 am - blankets down, stuff comes out
10:00 am to 12:00 pm - wander, look, ask people about their things. People love being asked.
12:00 pm - we fold the tablecloth, but you're welcome to stay and enjoy the park.
Come for twenty minutes or stay the whole time. Nobody presents, there's no stage.
Bring
Something you want to show people. Made, found, inherited, won, rescued off a curb. Weird and interesting beats expensive.
A blanket to sit on.
Your own food/snacks if you want them. No alcohol, it's a city park.
A friend who owns something strange, and a strange friend.
Free drawing! (100% optional)
There's a free drawing at the table for one of three $30 Bi-Rite gift cards, sponsored by The Frisconian.
