One of the members of WCS Midwest is a Hollywood veteran who has been part of many well-known films. Her next project is a climate and sustainability action film, and the screenplay has already won a notable award. She is currently seeking input for climate and sustainability experts to ensure the science is correct. Join this virtual event, open to all WCS members, to get a first look at the script and put your expert fingerprint on its development!
THE 7TH: WOMEN IN CLEAN TECH AMBASSADORS
THE 7TH is a four-quadrant action-adventure feature that follows a fourteen-year-old Lakota heroine on her quest to bring back indigenous ways and re-wild the planet.
Imagine a film that fuses the excitement of Indiana Jones with the environmental urgency of An Inconvenient Truth – told through the lens of climate science and Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) that has never been seen before. This film doesn’t just entertain; it empowers. By centering Indigenous voices as equal partners, we illuminate time-tested solutions to the climate crisis, inviting audiences into a story of hope and restoration.
We are currently in the packaging/equity raising stage.

ACTOR/LAKOTA ADVISOR: Tokala Black Elk, (Oglala Lakota), HAPPY’S
PLACE. Tokala has shepherded the Oglala Lakota aspects of the script from the beginning. He is a direct descendant of the Holy Man Nicholas Black Elk of “Black Elk Speaks”
We are seeking Women in CleanTech who feel they have an alignment with the story and
themes to become WCT Ambassadors.
DUTIES
Read script and give producers feedback, including but not limited to:
Validity of factual science and clean tech presented in script
What further cleantech could be utilized in the script
Learn about film production
Opportunity to be PA and/or Extras
1st viewing of film during editing
1st viewing of trailers and promos
Assist in designing social media communication
Assist in designing educational materials and call to action
