Close the Loop
I'm your Executive Assistant for the evening.
You're getting a block of time and peer pressure to cross off the items on your to do list.
We’ll have a pride-only leaderboard for the longest lingering task finally closed, for the most tasks closed, and the most emotional weight of tasks shed.
Come. Get things done. Meet some folks who also intersect in this nature-curious/startup realm.
Agenda:
6:00-6:15 Hellos as folks trickle in
6:15-7:45 Focused, ambient peer-pressured task-tackling / suffering together
7:45-8:00 Celebrate loops closed, declare victories, indulge in the lightness of minor accomplishments
The types of tasks people may be completing:
-finishing holiday gift shopping
-tracking down the address for the cards you’re sending
-resetting your video bird feeder password
-deleting a couple dozen blurry photos from your phone
-closing a couple dozen emotional support tabs to reclaim your internet browser
-texting the person you ghosted to let them know it’s you, not them
-we’re basically at kid summer camp planning time, so lord help us all with this one
-actually booking that trip you’ve said you wanted to take
-writing a letter to your favorite high school teacher to let them know what impact they had
-paying that parking ticket
-sitting on hold with the IRS Business and Specialty Tax line until they hang up at 7pm CT, then posting on LinkedIn about the experience
-hiring a VA because plenty of these are delegate-able
