Event Itinerary:
4:00 pm: Doors open.
4:00–4:50: Check-in, coat check, exploring our mini Shaheed Minar and exhibition, photoshoot, networking.
4:50: Gates close.
4:50–5:00: Taking assigned seats.
5:00–5:45: Poetry session.
5:45–5:50: First course of iftar will be served.
6:15: Second course of iftar will be served.
6:45–7:00: Tea break.
7:00: Third course of iftar will be served.
8:00–9:00: Explore our exhibition space further, photoshoot, and networking.
9:00: Event ends.
CK Events by M&L are hosting Ekushey Iftar on 21st February 2026 in Toronto. As 21st February marks International Mother Language Day, it is vastly celebrated in Bangladesh because it was named after the Bengali Language Movement, where Bangladeshis fought for their mother language. We want to give Bangladeshis a chance to pay tribute to our mother tongue, Bengali, through our event so that they feel a bit closer to home. As it is also going to be the month of Ramadan, we are serving iftar to our guests with items on the menu just as it is back home. Having a table full of iftar in a room filled with mostly Bengali speakers, and feeling that nostalgia from back home, is the experience we want people to have.
